Team Quest is built by Kaizen Vibes. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you play, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
While you play: which story and character you pick, your answers to each scenario, and your device type. None of this identifies you by itself.
If you finish and unlock your result: your first name, email address, and whether you agreed to receive occasional emails from us.
If you send us a message: your name, email (if you give it), and the message itself.
Automatically, for every request: your IP address and an approximate location (city, region, country) derived from it. We use this to understand where people are playing from and to help spot abuse, not to track you individually across visits.
On your device: we use your browser's local storage (not a tracking cookie) to remember your progress so you can resume a quiz you didn't finish. It stays on your device and clears when you finish or restart.
Why we collect it
To run the quiz and show you your result.
To follow up with product and career content, only if you opted in to that.
To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
To understand usage at a high level (how many people play, from roughly where) and to catch spam or abuse of the public forms.
Who sees it
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. It's stored in our database and visible only to Kaizen Vibes, through a password-protected admin view. The only outside parties involved are the infrastructure providers that host the site and database on our behalf, who process it only to keep the service running.
If you choose to support us through the "buy us a coffee" option, that transaction is handled by whichever payment provider is linked at the time, subject to their own privacy policy, not this one.
Your choices
You can play the entire quiz without giving us anything, the name/email step only happens if you want to see your result. If you'd like us to delete data we have about you, or you want to know what we have, reach out through the contact form and we'll handle it directly.
Children
Team Quest is meant for people exploring product, agile, and delivery careers, and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
